Johan Leclerre is the grandson and son of fishermen. Or to be more precise, the grandson and son of a fisherman who were also cooks and sailors. Those men who were capable of being in the kitchen and steering a boat whenever fish came calling. Family reunions upon their return from a fishing expedition were always an excellent occasion to share the ‘godaille’, the fishermen’s share of the catch.
For Johan, his calling as a cook was born from these moments of sharing in which the family was at last complete.
In 2015, he worked with the French food lover’s alliance AFAMES to produce the book ‘Inventaire Gourmand du Sud-Ouest’.
